Updated: May 13, 2021

Stuck in lockdown again! Working from home. Slowly going insane. It's always a good idea to take a break, rest your mind, and no better way to do that than by watching a movie or documentary. So, starting this month we will share a few 'things' to view with you. We also couldn't think of a better title, but anyway. This month we have THREE amazing documentaries to sink your teeth in to. As well as where you can check them out, albeit only Irish available sites..

Anyway up first..

Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan (2020)

This is one of the best documentaries we've seen. It is fantastic/ There is no need to tell you how big of a legend Shane is, but having this much insight in to him, it's unbelievable. a love letter to Shane, as much as it is to Ireland and Irish music as well. Directed by the great Julien Temple, it is an exquisite view in to the life of a true Irishman. Watch it!

Available to watch on IFI@Home (

Keith Richards Under the Influence (2015)

This is the one. An insight in to the man, myth and legend, via his own gravelly voice. Through stories and smiles, the rock and roll deity that is Keith Richards gives an intimate insight to what it means to be him. A breezy watch to sit back, relax and enjoy. Richards is enjoyable company!

Available to watch on Netflix

Muscle Shoals (2013)

Anyone, who has any shit to do with the music industry, needs to see this. Muscle Shoals shows that, often times, it's not the people up front and center who are creating the magic. A who's who list of names feature to share with you the knowledge of the people, voices and sounds that left a mark on a genre, plus music as a whole. A "must-see" documentary about a magical place & environment, and the music to come from there.

Available to watch on Youtube and Google Play
